This policy explains what personal data MagAid L.L.C. (“MagAid”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit magaid.shop, why we collect it, and the choices you have. MagAid L.L.C. is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, and is the controller of the data described below.
1. What we collect
Your email address
If you sign up for launch updates, we collect the email address you enter. We use it to tell you about the progress of the MagAid project, to notify you when our Kickstarter campaign goes live, and to share early access and Early Bird information. Our email provider, MailerLite, stores the address and sends the emails on our behalf.
Cookies and similar technologies (only with your consent)
When you first visit, we ask whether to allow optional cookies. Nothing optional is switched on until you choose. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.

We also save your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask on every visit. It stays for about six months and contains no personal data.
Technical data
Like most websites, our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
2. Why we use your data, and our legal basis
- Launch updates by email: your consent, which you give by submitting the sign-up form.
- Analytics and marketing cookies: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- Running and securing the website: our legitimate interest in providing a working, safe site.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and the campaign, and only to the extent needed:
- MailerLite: email sign-ups and sending our updates.
- Google: Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies).
- Contentsquare: behaviour analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies).
- Meta Platforms: Meta Pixel (only if you accept marketing cookies).
- Our web hosting provider: serves the website.
Some of these providers are located outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider’s participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
4. How long we keep it
- Email address: until you unsubscribe, or until our launch communications are finished, whichever comes first.
- Analytics and marketing data: according to each provider’s retention settings, which we keep as short as practical.
- Server logs: a short period, then deleted.
5. Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected or your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what happened before. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in any message. To stop cookies, use “Cookie settings”.
You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the authority in your EU country. Residents of some US states have similar rights; contact us and we will help.
6. Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in a meaningful way, we will tell you in advance where we can.
